INFORMATION, SUPPORT & HANDYMAN SERVICE

CAT is aimed at supporting older people or anyone with a disability to remain in their own homes, to prevent accidents, reduce risks and maintain independence.
The service provides:

• Information and support for benefits claims, including a form filling service.
• Support with any worrying consumer issues.
• Signposting service to other agencies if required.
• A care and repair service for small jobs connected with safety and security in the home.
• A free fire safety check and smoke alarm fitting service in partnership with the Fire Service.
• A free basic security check for the home.
• Help to source aids and equipment from suppliers as needed by clients.

Sheringham Helping Hands provide short-term gardening assistance are completely self contained and providing all necessary equipment.

All work is carried out on a voluntary basis with no specific charge but donations are welcome.

The main focus is gardening but other gardening related work will be considered.
