Age Concern North Norfolk (ACNN) believes each person is unique with their own life history, personality, likes and dislikes. The Age Concern centre in Sheringham supports older people (customers) from the local community with daily home cooked meals; activities & entertainment; laundry; supported bathing; befriending calls; and our ‘Meals on heels’ lunch deliveries to those who cannot, or prefer not to attend the centre.

We are now looking for an experienced fundraising officer to join our team. The purpose of this role is to plan, develop & deliver fundraising for ACNN specifically in the areas of; community fundraising, legacy fundraising, local corporate fundraising & individual givers. You will be in the only fundraiser at ACNN and this is a new role. You will be provided with workspace at the ACNN day centre, but we also envisage that you will be largely out and about in the community.

We are ideally looking for someone with experience fundraising in the North Norfolk area, perhaps through local businesses, individuals or community groups. You will need to be a self-starter and able to prioritise and manage your own time. Whilst the team at ACNN is very welcoming, you will be the sole fundraiser and are expected to cover all elements of the role, which may mean having to work some evenings or weekends.

You will need to be confident in fundraising communications, including the managing of reports or information back to funders. You must have the ability to lead, build, manage and maintain fundraising relationships. You should be familiar with fundraising best practice and legal requirements.

Highly organised, you will be effective at prioritising and meeting deadlines. A good communicator you will be able to influence others too. You will be confident operating largely autonomously.
